Londolozi Private Game Reserve is unashamedly the most exclusive and luxurious south African safari destination. Meaning "protector of all living things” in Zulu, Londolozi is home to the famous Big 5, and is said to have the best leopard viewing in Africa. The accommodation

the ultimate in South African Safaris, offers four small, elegant camps (Varty Camp, Tree Camp, Pioneer Camp, Founders Camp) and a very private Granite Suite camp, all nestled on the banks of the Sand River, but hidden from view in the dense riverine forest. Dubai to Africa strongly recommends the newly refurbished Pioneer camp. This Camp is the most secluded of Londolozi’s luxury camps.The camp has three private suites with splendid river views. They are perfect for honeymoons and private getaways. Yet this adaptable camp can also be converted into a private bush home for family groups of 6 – 14 people through breathtaking sky walkways – glass viaducts that link the family units.

The camp combines old English colonial style with contemporary African culture. The main living area is open plan, containing a kitchen, sitting room and dining area. This spacious and open area allows you to enjoy views of your surroundings while relaxing in comfort. The suites are designed in a similar style of comfort and space, offering secluded experiences of the African wilderness.

You can escape the heat of the hot African sun in the Zen lap pool, while you enjoy your surrounding scenery. Londolozi embraces a holistic approach to health and healing, offering morning and evening yoga classes and an organic, free range menu.

 

Things to do

Gamedrives

Activities are geared to your needs, and no two days are ever the same. Dawn and dusk game drives traverse an area of some 14 000 hectares in search of elephant herds, buffalo, white rhino, lion and of course the famous leopards of Londolozi. You may request the sole use of a vehicle for game viewing, or explore the bush on foot with interpretive bush walks.

Game-drive safaris at Londolozi are conducted in specially adapted open Landrovers, with professional guides and trackers to locate and provide interesting background information and facts about Africa's spectacular wildlife. Londolozi also offers night drives with spot lamps to view nocturnal species.

Interpretive bush walks with your guide and tracker provide even deeper and more 'hands-on' insight into the many intricate eco-systems of the African bush. All guides and trackers are carefully chosen for their knowledge and experience of the bush, and receive extensive training to ensure that your encounters with the African wilderness are exciting, informative, and safe. Londolozi is particularly well-known for its leopard sightings, with a reputation as one of the best places in Africa to view these beautiful yet reclusive cats.
